New to forums, not new to weight loss!

I have to admit... I have been selfish for a while now and while I have always thought I could do this on my own ( which is true ). I always figured why not have the support or help people who are going through some of the same things I went through.

So let me introduce myself, names Calvin :). Everyone needs a driving force of some sort behind them in order to change their life around. Mine was a two fold process, I witnessed my own mother go through diabetic and kidney complications before my very eyes (dialysis/oxygen) and the scare from that along with the fact that I just looked and felt miserable was enough to make me get up and do something about it.

I literally got up, went to youtube and queued up a bunch of work out sessions. Worked out for 1 hr at 440lbs. ( I was a farmer boy so was never lazy, I have always had muscle and str). After the cooldown I showered, went to wal mart and went on a CLEAN diet, free of empty calories and sugar.

It was instant.. the drive was insane. I didn't weight myself for two whole weeks. I lost 14 lbs at my first weigh in!.

A year later I am sitting at 301 and still gradually losing. Am I counting calories ? no. Do I work out? 4 or 5 times a week. I treat myself to a snack once a week and I try to eat out every other week at least once. This has changed my life around COMPLETELY... in so many ways.. my drive to lose more is stronger than my drive when I first started!.

My workouts..

biggest loser cardio and sculpting. Thanks to my good bud for lending me these because they have been a miracle. I am currently starting p90x cardio and doing other sculpting work outs on the side.

So I guess I am here to lend a hand AND get advice at the same time!. Glad to be a part of the community.
