Hi, I am new to the forum and could use some advise.

I have reacently started on my path to a healthier, fitter life. I need to lose about 30-40 lbs. To do this I joined a gym about a month ago. I go to classes 5 days a week. These are a combo of cardio and weight training.
Monday-class that has combo of plyometrics, strength and cardio drills
Tuesday-Class combo of yoga and pilates
Wednesday-total body strength workout class
Thurday-Zumba class or elliptical.
Friday-Spin class

I also horseback ride three to five days a week.

I have added water to my life. I used to never drink water. I have been getting some now. Typically 40 plus ounces.

I have been calorie counting using an app on my phone. Typically about 1200 calories a day.

I have been gaining weight, or just maintaining. My pants are tighter!!! Please help! I want to do this the right way!!!!!

Thanks for looking!

Welcome Storm2855! With a workout schedule like yours and only 1200 calories, I can't see you gaining weight. Someone more qualified than me will have to answer except perhaps you need more water it is vital, seems 40 ozs a day is way too little.

You do not mention your weight. It would be great if you mentioned your BMI or failing that your weight, height, gender and age so that I can calculate it for you...

Try to drink 1 ounce of water for every 2 pounds that you weigh. That means that if you weigh more than 80 pounds - you should be drinking more water... Especially with all that cardio exercise...

I do not know how you can drink so little... I drink 35 ounces of water every time I do an hour of zumba...

I strongly suspect that you should be eating more calories too. It can be counter-productive to set your calories at too low a level.
