New to excercise

I got a Wii fit 2 weeks ago and been using it for the free step etc for about an hour a day. I'm very unfit, cant run etc. How can i build up to be able to run. Im reall self concious about jogging because i have big ish boobs and they just hurt when i run/jog even a fast paced walk can be painful. Any ideas?
How effective is the wii fit and the free step? Is there a way i can work out what ive burned of doing the free step at all

atm, it seems like you are going to be my almost-twin around here.

I, too, want to build up the ability to run. I have heard from everyone (including very obese people who are almost completely sedentary) that the Couch to 5K running program is the way to go.

I am also large in the chest (my new bras were a 40G - UGH) but the Enell sports bras for big-busted women are a God-send. They are pricey, for sure - about $60-$65 each, but worth every single cent. Click here to see them --> If they sound familiar, it's because Oprah endorsed them a few years ago LOL.

Here is the link that outlines the Couch to 5K program: Scroll down to the weekly grid, which shows you what to do and for how long. It's only 3 days a week for 9 weeks. If you don't want to mess with a stopwatch, there are free Podcasts on iTunes for the Couch to 5K program for each week of the program, that tell you when to run, when to walk, etc.

I'm planning on starting this on Monday, if it's not raining!

I struggle with bras soo much over here every shop goes of differant measurement i recently had 3 made up from "the local boob woman" one look and she knows what size to get ya lol She said the size i was closest to is 38gg -38h. All bras are pricey for me £50 ish i pay on average. If im been to nosy lol just ignore me but what size in the sports bra did you get measurement look a bit wierd to me. The couch to 5k looks awesome and fact that i can get it on podcast is fantastic saves alot of hassle that way. I was thinking of getting a treadmill but heard they can be unkind to joints. Ive had a lil run tonight with dog and after 5 mins i was knackered :(

Well I already told you my bra size, so hey, I don't mind telling you my Enell size LOL!! I'm a 5 in their sizing, which seems true to their chart. You'd likely be a size 4 if you are a 38 in the band.

Yeah that impact thing is rough. I've heard the ellipticals are better since they are non-impact, but that means you have to buy one (so expensive!) or go to a gym, and that can get boring. I like being able to change it up and do something outdoors when it is nice out.

I love the lingo - knackered is a great word! And I'd feel doubly-knackered after 5 minutes, if I even made it that long!! :rotflmao:
 
I have really bad co-ordination lol I'm a walking fuddle. So them elliptical things which im guessing are the same as a cross trainer I'm useless at, end up stood on one foot thing scared to get off. I loving been outdoors, i guess i'll be running when everyone is in bed. Kinda nocturnal anyway so no bother by me take the pup out with me shud be fun i cant wait now im really excited DL for laptop as its new and havent had chance to put it on. Gunna DL podcast and start Monday too!!
O in England we can say pretty much anything for certain words. Like when your drunk we say an array of things that fit, like totally gizeboed, or out of your tree, completely wankered. It works for tired too lol Silly English people lol

just start by walking, hittin up hills here and there, then just gradually increase to a jog then to a run, practice makes perfect
