New to all this!

Hello!
So, let me start this off by saying I'm totally new to this. I have had a page on a forum before, but that was a VW forum. So, this is a bit different.

I'm due to start Off Shore very soon, and would love to cut down a bit on the weight. Obviously it's a very physically demanding job, (12 hour shifts, lifting and walking all day, in North Sea temperatures. Eek!)

I've never really done anything like this before. I always saw myself as a healthy weight! I think that's a good thing...

I am a heavy guy. 18.5 stone at the last check, but I'm 6'2 so always managed to carry it reasonably well. But, seen a few too many favourite pairs of jeans get thrown to the back of the wardrobe lately, so it's time to change something! And I refuse to buy any more jeans!!

I guess I joined here just to talk to other people who are also dieting / lifestyle changing. Moral support, new recipes to try, etc.

Thanks in advance :)

If you have such a physically demanding job, that should do a big part of the work in the field of exercise. Now all you have to do is make sure that you eat well.
