I joined last year around october or november. At the time I was going to the gym probably 5 or 6 times a week doing lots of cardio and lifting some weights. By the end of 2009 I managed to get from 215 to around 208 pounds, in about 2 or 3 months which i was happy with.
Last week of December I ended up with the flu and then had to start studying for my 6 exams in January. Didn't go to the gym once and my diet got screwed and I am now back up anything between 210-214.
I've just started going back to the gym this week, have only been twice, but will get back into it.
I just need some pointers on how to get back into it. What should I be doing? What should I avoid? How many calories should I be eating?
I really want to get it right this time! I am hoping to go to Singapore for my 3rd year of university in August and by then I want to make it down to 180 pounds or even lower, and then continue to work hard while I am there.
I could do what I was doing last year but the only thing I can take from that is the working out. My diet wasn't the best and I wouldn't really look at what I was eating.
Here are some details : I am a male, height is 5'9 and currently weigh 213 pounds.
