New - St. Louis Area

Hi all. I just registered with this board in hopes of getting support for my weight loss. My husband has given up supporting me...he has that "I've heard it before and will beleave it when I see the weight starting to come off" attitude. So, needless to say I am looking for support elsewhere.

I recently moved back to the states from England and in the past two months have gained about 10 additional unwanted pounds catching up on all the awesome American resturants.

My oldest will be 4 in two weeks and my baby will be 2 next month. Since we are done having kids I figured its about time to get rid of my pregnancy weight (from both kids). I love working out but since I moved I haven't gotten into a good routine yet. I can spend hours working out, but because of my eating habbits I haven't been successful loosing weight. I know all the things that need to be done, I just don't do it. However, I feel as though I am at a point where I can now be disciplined enough to get the weight off.

I look forward to becoming a "looser" along with the rest of you.

(the standard)... take a look through the stickies on all the different forums, there's a TON of great information there. There's even a section for new mums who are looking to lose the baby weight.

Also, a lot of folk here track their calorie intake by using fitday.com. I'd recommend it if you are having difficulty with what you are eating.

I'd also recommend setting up a diary in the Diary Forum... helps you to keep track and accountability, and it is also a good place for others to read, offer support, advice etc. There's a lot of support to be had here. Your husband will come around eventually.
