I'm new to the forum, not new to exercise. I've recently entered a "Biggest Loser" contest and have really been busting my tail to lose some weight.

I'm 35 years old. I'm 6'2" 240. We recently purchased a treadmill and I have put 50 miles in, in 2 weeks. I run hills, sprints, intervals of all such. I've ate less, and slept well. However, I might have lost a pound, maybe.

My question is this, should I eat more because I work out more and will that promote weight loss. Will eating more calories help me burn more calories and eventually lose more weight?

Thanks in advance!

Do spend some time reading the stickied threads around the forum... especially in nutrition and on topic.. you should find the answer to your question there...

With your contest at work is the 'winner' determined by total pounds lost or by percentage lost - or by another measurement?

Great job of starting a healthy lifestyle.
You've only just started 2 weeks ago...weight loss is a slow, steady process. Try tracking your calories and don't over think it...thats what everyone wants to do...over think how to go about loosing weight. It boils down to eating fewer calories than your body needs to maintain the weight youre at...and getting excercise.

It's based on percentages, thanks.
