Shaq,
1) Most important for you is to not feel overwhelmed and to not look for easy answers. If you feel overwhelmed, then you will paralyze yourself and not act. The key is to take steps and believe in yourself to get the job done.
2) Get a notebook and reserve it just for your weight loss. In this notebook, you will write about both your nutrition and workouts. You can start a diary on this site in the Loss & Motivation section and folks will give you feedback.
Step 1: write down your weight & height, workouts/exercise for the past week, plus what you eat in a typical weekday and a typical weekend day (be honest with yourself, you deserve to be honest). Don't judge yourself for where you are now. Where you are now simply is where you are.
Step 2: What can you do moving forward? Figure out a reasonable number of things that you want to improve on. Possibilities: work out more, work out harder, drink lots of water, greatly reduce fried foods & sweets, etc. The key is not to try and change everything at once.
