New & Motivated! his will happen for me!!!

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the boards, and wanted to introduce myself. I also wanted to publicly announce my weightloss efforts. So hear I am! I am a young mother to 4 children, ages 7, 3(twins) and 1. I also run a home based business as a photographer. My life is one hectic mess, but I want more out of it! I wanted to be comfortable, I want to come across as a well rounded individual who appears to have it all together. So this past new years I made a resolution to finally get to my goal of 140lbs....I have not been that low since I was a teenager. Currently it has been about 10 years since I have been below 200lbs....So as of today I am down to 216.4lbs! My short term goal is to be at about 184lbs...I was hoping by my birthday (Sept. 15) but I am not too sure if this is really a realistic goal to have in mind. Anyhow, recently my hubby decided that he was going to jump on the healthy bandwagon and try to lose a little weight as well...so I took that as motivation and in the past two weeks I am happy to report having lost 8lbs! I think it was mainly a change in diet that helped but I have also been getting up early every morning before the kids get up to exercise. I do about 45 mins/3 miles on my gazelle...

So, anyways, if anyone has any tips on how I can reach my 184 goal in a healthy way...please fill me in! :)

I'll leave it at that, as I am pretty horrible at introductions. LOL
 
Hi, Red! I'm glad you decided to join us! :D Congrats on the weight loss so far! Wow, 8 pounds in two weeks - that's 4 pounds a week - WHOA!

It sounds like you're off to a great start and I'm happy to hear your hubby is joining you on the weight loss journey - just don't let his success or failures be yours. I've often seen couples go at it and when one gives up the other isn't far behind. Just stick with it no mater what he decides do to, because in the end it's YOUR body and YOUR LIFE! :D

Being here is a good step forward as it can be a great inspiration and one can learned a LOT from this place. Feel free to check out all the stickies - they explain a lot. And also check out the diary section and start your own journal there if you're up to it - it can really help keep you motivated and inspired!
