You sound like me at that age. You're off to a good start. It can be frustrating but keep it up. Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. How are your clothes fitting? It could be you are loosing fat and gaining muscle countering it. It might not seem like it but this is a good thing because muscle burns calories even when you're asleep.

You might want to get a heart rate monitor. That way you can make sure you are getting your heart into the aerobic zone and keeping it there. Also different exercises work differently for everyone. I was on the swim team in HS and college but never lost much weight from swimming. With bicycling though I can get into my zone and it doesn't feel like exercise.

Diet wise try little things like skipping the cheese on your burger, measure out your snacks instead of eating from the bag etc.

Be patient, you will start to see results. When your friends start to notice you will be through the roof. Take before pics and save a set of fat clothes to remind you.

You can do it!

Paul, I think you mean muscle is more dense than fat ;) That being said, the scale isn't always the best measure of progress. If you're at a standstill, try keeping track of how your clothes fit you. Also, keep a daily caloric diary to make sure you're not unconsciously eating more calories than you should. When I gained three pounds a couple of weeks ago, I was devastated at first but then I noticed that my jeans were getting looser and my shirts were feeling less tight.

To add to what Paul said, patience is a virtue. Do not let a bad day or week derail you because this will just start a vicious cycle. Trust in the process and it will pay off and soon people will notice and compliment you. This in turn will motivate you to keep going. That's the cycle you wanna be in :)

How long have you been on your program?

i started about mid september with this program, i have noticed from last week to this week i was at 256 now im at 251. I have tried to cut out eating late night, and also i have not been lifting weights as much, Just doing 30 mins of cardio along with some ab routines in there. I am trying to be at about 240 for my 21st birthday at the end of november. so hpefully i can achieve this goal
