Hi all,
I have read a lot of these threads and have gained some additional knowledge than I had before; very beneficial information, this rocks!

I have been working out for about 2 years, but more on a regular basis since Janaury of this year. I weigh 130, am in pretty good shape, but still can stand to lose some fat around the tummy and hips.

Question: When journalizing my daily caloric intake, do I count the calories that are in the proteins/fats/carbs also? (1g of protein has 4 calories, 1g fat has 9 cals, 1g carb has 4 cals). So for each protein/fat/carb I eat, do I count the calories in each of those and write them down too?

I am starting today to write down everything that enters my mouth to see where I am at in consuming the appropriate amount of calories.

Thanks!

Thanks for replying everyone!
I was wondering if I count the calories in the food PLUS the calories in each gram of fat/protein/carb. I was just confusing myself, I think I knew the answer but just wanted to make sure.
But I do count the calories listed on the nutrition facts, and the protein, carbs, and fat and thats it. I have used the fitday.com which has helped. Very neat site!
