Hi All,
Just joined the site. I say this is my round 2 of weight loss because I had always been overweight.. at age 28 I finally got some wild hair up my @$$ and do some more. I was finally financially stable to not work nights and invest in a trainer. Fast Forward 1.5 years and a loss of over 100lbs. Then major case of depression, 1.5 years, and a gain of over 100lbs. So, now I need motivation to get back in gear and really focus on myself. I am moving to a new place in 2 days and procrastinating packing by posting on here!
Take care,
Lauren

Hi Lauren! I'm new here, too! I'm 28, and have been struggling with my weight for about 10 years. On Sunday, I'm leaving to go to Niagra, NY for 2 weeks to the Biggest Loser Resort to get my butt in gear! I'd love if we could support each other on our journeys! Friends?

Good luck with that! I didn't even know they had something like that. I'll support you if you support me! You will have to let me know how that goes... not that I would want to use all my vacation time going to a weight loss camp (calling it a Resort makes it sound a lot nicer!) but it might be what I need as well.

Thank you! I've had a lot of health problems in the last year so even though it may seem extreme, its so needed! I'll definitely keep in touch! I leave in 5 days! Whoa!

Welcome to the forum to both of you.

I can certainly identify with a massive weight loss followed by gaining weight that you hoped to never see again. I did that - but thankfully did not gain as much as you so I'm still ahead of the game...

I'm sorry to hear about the problems with depression. I hope that you are feeling a lot better now.

The house move sounds exciting - like the start of a whole new chapter in your life. A chapter where you are back in control and eating healthily at the right calorie level while being fairly active.

You know what to do because you must have learnt a lot in your last project. Not only about nutrition and exercise - but about dedication and determination, success and self motivation... People do not drop 100 pounds without working hard to make it happen... it doesnt happen by accident...

Many of us find that the support network that they build in a forum such as ours really helps them to keep going... I certainly found that was the case for me. I will attach in a thread which I suggest that you read - as a few hints on making friends on the forums.

I wish you good luck with your project (and happiness in your new home).
