Hello!
I'm fourteen months into what I call my "new life".
Last year I began a diet in January and lost 40 pounds. In June I thought it would be a good idea to begin exercising. I had a physical in July and wanted to enhance my results and get an "atta boy" from the doc. I got the desired remarks from him, as well as his nurse who offered a very discreet compliment at my disrobed appearance.
So I decided I liked this exercise "thing" and kept doing it. I had some fun getting new clothes that fittted me nicely and I enjoyed wearing some marginally indecent swimwear during a caribbean vacation. The wife and I shared the experience of people asking to be photographed with us. Maybe it was to generate some hoots back haome when they shared the pics, but we took it as a compliment.
Anyhow, I've begun becoming more analytic about my routine. I don't want to become bored, and need to get the most return for my effort. A colleague at work who is very scientific about his workouts observed that I was overtraining and needed more recovery time. With some research I came up with a new approach that I hope will produce improvements in endurance and strength.
I look forward to finding good advice and encouragement from the membership.
Best Regards,
Pete
