Hey everyone,

I really like what u guys are trying to do here, supporting & helping each other and I hope I find what I'm looking for among u guys =)
I'm 21 and I'm still a student, this year is my last though (I study architecture!)
I've been dieting on and off for the past 8 years and it's a killer!
now I'm finding it really hard to lose weight and simply stick to my new figure so I hope that with u guys helping me out I'll be able to do so.

Cheers!

Hi, and welcome. I'm also new so I will share with you the advice I've been given. If you haven't already, start a journal/diary (there's a section for that if you look in the forums).

Good luck!

Welcome to the WLF. Read through the stickied threads for fitness and nutrition information. Good luck with your weight loss. :D

Hello and welcome! I'm a newbie as well. But just wanted to say hello. I have a degree in Architecture. So I know how hard things are for you right now. Good luck with everything and see you around!

thnx u guys..i hope that together we can do sth about those extra pounds eh ;)

well...Steve, I've tried every single thing u can imagine to the extent that 5 year ago i went bulimic and it's not sth i'm proud of but thank God i stopped before it got too serious so i never really needed professional help..anyway about my diet routines, usually what i used to do is go on some tough lethal diet where i almost eat nothing all day and believe it or not i lost 27 kiloes in 6 months 4 years ago but it was only a matter of time before i got bored of tormenting myself and i started eating stuff i like which led to more weight gain so that's the way it's always been with me..i go on a diet, lose wieght, get bored, get back to my 'normal' life style and voila i put on weight again!

so what i need is a "healthy lifestyle"... a major change in everything i do starting with what i eat and working out and ending with the way i feel about myself and the way i look and i sure hope that with ur support i'll be able to do that =) (especially that i spend alot of time @ uni working on my projects, so fast food is usually the way out;)

p.s: i know it's a loooong post but it's not easy to find someone who understands what i'm goin through so bear with me!

Sounds like you need a good dose of long term thinking, which you're working towards. If all you focus on is the destination, you're results will be temporary. Focus on the journey instead, and things change for the better.
