New Loosers!!

Moabnut, I sure you were able to withstand the temptations of your sister. Hey if you didn't no big deal, were in this for the long run.

The one thing I have found out on this journey is very, very very, few people really care what you eat. The only time i feel pressure from someone is when it is them wanting to eat something & they feel guilty. Yes I do know there are a few people that are really concerned for my/your health. But really very few if you add up the people.

I took a day off yesterday, from health & really enjoyed it. Right back on track today. Got up this morning at 5:00 AM (I must be nuts) did a :eek: 10 mile run :D in :cool: 2 Hours 25 Minutes 52 Seconds.:rolleyes: Up until then the most I did was 8 miles & that was mostly walking, that was on 12/10/05 & my time was 2:31:17.

How is everyone doing?

Good Afternoon my fellow Loosers..
How is everyone doing this Sunday? I hope all is well and going smoothly.. As for me not so smoothly :( Friday night around 11pm I woke up with the most horrible pain due to my wisdom tooth coming in, really painful... Anyhow Saturday morning and all day I could not eat one thing because it hurt so bad that I could not open or chew anything, even my face was a little swollen, the funny thing is my best friend said to me "Hey at least you wont eat and you can lose weight, ha ha ha" can you believe that? Well I did finally have a piece of wheat bread with a small cup of boullion.. This morning it was better but still sore, so then my Mother comes over and desides to you know give her opinions lol, she said it is because I have been chewing too much gum all week long, OMG can you believe it? She thinks I am starving myself or something and eating gum like no tomorrow.. I just laughed and laughed because little does she know I eat alot, but its all under 1200 cal daily.. Well she means well and I know this because I am a Mother and I would probably do the same for Jasmine, OH BTW Moabnut thanks for the comment about Jasmine :) although its my son :D hes only 5 months old now, my Jasmine is 10, the baby is named Mohamed after my Father in law who passed away 8 years ago.. Well I just wanted to let you guys know what I have been up to this weekend and to inform that I did not do any exercise or walking this weekend but I will double up all next week so that I can make it to my goal.. Also dont let the sister ruin the diet, let the diet ruin her if you get what I mean ;) I will check in tonight or tomorrow morning guys, keep up the great work.. Have fun, I know I will since I know that school will be starting back tomorrow :D :D :D

Sorry about that jasminsmomma, you know what they say about assuming things. Anyway, I did eat at my sisters house, but I didnt over eat. I did have more than I was planning on having but not overboard like I sometimes do. Anyway, Im stuck in an airport trying to get back to MI and missed my flight (flying standby) its gonna be a crappy night with no sleep working other flights to get home...sucks, but all I have with my is diet food so that helps. Im going to need some strong coffee for my drive from the airport in the AM. The rest of my weekend was pretty good though. Better than Ive ever done here before.
Good job on the run troutman!
 

Hey I think everybody's doing great so far! I've already lost 4 pounds! How about you guys? - We're gonna kick butt!
 
elizab3th, That is great & you have one more day maybe you'll hit another 1/4 or 1/2 Lb. I'm not doing that great this week in the weight loss department, I do have one more day. So we'll see what happens. I will lose weight, I've never had a week period go buy when I'm trying & not lost weight.

One more day? What do you mean? - It's only the 9th tomorrow...
I missed the whole beginning of that... but don't get down because you're not losing weight.. you could be gaining muscle hey? Muscle weighs more than fat so that could be the culprit! Keep your head up you're doing great!
 
Hey guys... Yeah, I was stuck for a bit too, but I dropped 3 lbs as of yesterday. My weightloss is predictable if Im doing good. I have been doing reasonably good. Do we have a weigh-in Wed? The competition goes for 2 weeks doesn’t it Chip? Ill really have to kick it into gear today if the official weigh-in is tomorrow! Anyway, I am officially over the half way mark! I may not have lost much this week, but at least I made that milestone. :cool:

Hope everyone is moving along smoothly.. Today was a great day to walk to the park so I did. I actually walked only quarter of a mile to the park, but walked about 3.2 miles on the trail, it really felt great! I have not done the trail at the park in a while.. I think the total walked/jogged was about 4 miles, and I really have not done that in a long time, not to mention I was pushing the baby in a stroller that was kinda heavy. BTW I thought the weigh in was on March 15, thats why I made my goal 10 pounds, someone let me know if it is tomorrow, since I did hide my scale in my Husbands car trunk so that I would not check every 5 minutes lol, you know everyone has done it before :D
Also if anyone has a suggestion for any substitute for coffee in the morning, since I stopped drinking it 3 days ago my head has been killing me..
Let me know again about the weigh in and coffee if ya can..
Troutman dont get yourself down believe me we have all been there, try to keep thinking its only a week until weigh in and how great the results can be, thats what im doing.. Keep your head up, you can do it I have faith in all of our team :)

Hi Team, You do not have to give your weight tomorrow. A lot of people choose to, so we know how everyone is doing.

I'm sorry I gave the impression I was down. Not at all, I'm doing great. My only problem now would be people (even people on the street) telling me how great I look. Yes its a problem if I believe the hype. I look good considering how I was, but I'm only 1/2 way there. So I must stayed focused, which I am. I'm very focused & excited, so excited I could scream.

I do have another problem, I have no clothes. :) A good problem!!!!!!!!!!!

If you weigh in tomorrow good luck, I will be posting my weight.

I think I will weigh in on 3/15 as originally suggested, not to mention that I was sick with the wisdom tooth for 2 days that really got me off track, this way I will have a greater chance of meeting my 10 pound weight loss goal :)
 

Oh okay - I was going to weight in today but I changed my mind... I don't want to get too excited and then get let down if there's no change considering I just checked a couple days ago... but I can't wait to hear troutman's progress! I think you're doing awesome.. and it's so good to hear those comments I bet! Just remember - you get to blow them away still because you've got another half way to go! Last half though! You made it this far and that's great! Keep up the great work everybody I know we can do this!

Not bad but missed my 5 Lbs. again. My goal for next week will be 5 Lbs.
I had 1,400 Calories today & ran my 4 miles in 53:45.

Hi! New here.I just wanted to tell Troutman that he is a true inspiration. I had a baby in Oct. and have 30lbs. to lose and I tell you for me it's been a slooooow process. It gives me encouragement to see what a wonderful job your doing and that it can be done.

4 lb loss.

That meets my goal but I was secretly hoping to have lost 5 lbs. Oh well. Actually that’s pretty good considering last Thursday I had a drug rep meal, and I went home for the weekend. I did great all weekend except I let myself have one large meal. So I feel pretty good about 4 lbs. Next week though, I have nothing going on so my goal is to lose 5 lbs. :cool:
 

Hey! Here's my weigh in for the week! - even though it's slightly late!
Starting Weight - 166 lbs.
Current Weight - 156 lbs.! That's 10 lost! :D
I can't believe I'm doing so great, I swear I'm eating lots too! Haha.. anyways I hope everyone else is doing awesome way to go moabnut and troutman! You guys are doing awesome! You totally pushed me to work harder this week too - just seeing how you guys can do it!
Today I'm on a juice fast just for the day - it'll help me digest foods better after and that.. I can't wait until the 15th - I bet you guys are going to lose so much!

Doing good, have been within my calories. Took a day off yesterday from running. All ready did my 4 mile run today. We had a little bit of snow, so its the first time I've run in snow. My feet are cold right now. I have to cool down before I jump in the shower.

My wife is very funny, last night she said what are you going to have for dinner. I said some chicken & brown rice. It was late for dinner (9:00 ) & I was really hungry so I wanted a little something. My wife was upset set with me. Not that I was eating, it was I was just having a little bite. She wanted to indulge a bit. It goes back to what I have said know one really cares what you eat. If they are not happy its because you make them feel guilty.

I even believe in having junk food in the house to eat. This is real life & I better know how to live in it. I have learned to eat right. If I going to over do it, I go out to eat.

Hope you are all doing good. We need to win this challenge, we know their is a lot riding on this. :eek: By the way what is riding on this?:D
