Hey everyone,
So I've been lurking these boards for the past couple of hours and I think I want to call this place 'my home away from home'. I've been searching for the past couple of days for a good message board for weight loss that has a good team of supportive people and I think this forum looks best.
My name is Brittany (I have a dog named Bella - hence the s/n) and I am 22 years old. A little of background info on me, I didn't start gaining weight until about 5 years ago. I had major medical problems and had to undergo a few brain surgeries in the past few years. This put me in my bed or on the couch for months at a time not being able to be mobile/exercise or anything. In the past 5 years I've went from 150 lbs to 230lbs and I am extremely down on myself for it. I know that I didn't pack on the pounds on purpose but I feel like my body is ruined. I am only 5ft3 and my body looks horrid! Now that I am pain free and had the 'ok' from my doctor to start exercising I am so determined to loose the weight!
I would love to have some support of others while I start this long journey though. My husband is a great help but I think it would help me, hearing stories from others about weight loss and such. I've tried so many times to start an exercise routine but after a few days, I always end up quitting. Food really isn't my problem. I am really good at eating healthy and eating 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. I just need that extra push to keep up with the working out.
I plan on starting a diary here so I look forward to seeing some of your comments in there..I really need some good support to start this because I get too frustrated with not seeing the scale number get smaller fast enough - then I end up quitting...so frustrating!!
