Hey there!
I'm new here. I've been creeping the site for a little while and figured I'd join. I'm graduating from my nursing school in June of 2011 and I would like to have lost 45 lbs by the time I graduate. I'm short, 5' 5" and currently weigh 190 lbs. I would like to, obviously, weigh 145 lbs by the time I graduate.
My story pretty much started when I was 18. All throughout high-school I had been tired and steadily gaining weight, going from 120-210 in a 3 year time period. I would basically wake up at 6, be at school at 6:15, sleep from 7-8:30am when classes would start, sleep intermittently during the course of the day, go to the gym and work out for an hour and then get home and be asleep by about 7 pm. Between graduating high-school and turning 18 I learned that I had chronically low Thyroid function, also known as hypothyroidism. This explained my inability to lose weight despite the fact that I was working out 6 days a week and eating well, and also my fatigue. For the past 3 years I have been trying to find a way to lose the weight and keep it off. I lost 20 lbs in one summer and haven't lost any since. So I guess now I'm here to get some tips, meet some people in the same boat, and get someone who can help me keep on top of my weight loss.
