Hi Guys

My name is Alicia im 22 years old. Since ive had my son this march will be 3 years now i have been trying to loose the weight that i have packed on during that time. Ive always been fairly small so having gained the weight has been a big change for me. Its been very rough as its been an uphill battle and i always find myself back in the same position and having gained back the weight that ive lost. This is now my attempt number (who knows by now) and for some reason this times feels different. Im even more movitvated to win this battle than i have been before. i wanted to join because i find that i give myself a hard time when it comes to loosing the weight which in turn just results into my giving up. Im hoping to meet individuals who are going through the same process as i am but as well to learn new things that i can incorperate into my lifestyle. ive already lost 17lbs but now i find myself stuck at this point ive been fluctuating between 17lbs to 22lbs weight loss and its been frustrating but i shall prevail.

Age:22
Weight: 203 lbs (my starting weight at the beginning was 220 lbs)
Height:5'6 1\2
Goal weight: 155-160lbs

i started this weight loss journey right before the ending of 2010 so im fairly new and still have alot to learn.

my goal is to try and loose about 10 lbs a month to reach my goal by the summer as i have a vacation in barbados this summer which im very excited about :). although if i dont reach that weight by that time it wont be the end im trying to change my lifestyle as a whole as i do no want my son to follow my what used to be unhealthy eating habits.

i hope to be able to document my progress as i embark on this new way of life. i want to be able to be inspired and hopefully one day inspire someone else to stick with the change .
 
well right now ive been attending the gym for 30 min-1hr from monday to friday but thats a time that i would like to increase. im attempting to get up to 2 hrs of workout per day. i have joined a workout class by the name of socacize its 2 hours long that i atten every thursday. as well ive changed my eating habits. i know its not realistic for me to cut out all of my bad habits at once so each month ive made the commitment to cut out something new so january was soft drinks and february is fast food (mc donalds burger king etc). so we will see how that goes. ive also joined a challenge that they having going on at work so its helped with my motivation.

I would suggest just doing what you're currently doing... make small changes and only move on to the next small change once you feel like you've mastered the one you're working on.

If you haven't already, I would suggest starting a journal to record your goals, eating habits, and exercise. If you're comfortable having others read it & post their opinions, you can start your own journal in the Weight Loss Diary section in this forum.

Even thought it's been almost 3 years, I would also point you towards the New Moms section of the forum... you might find some good tips and support there as well!

sorry i haven't been able to post lately alot has been going on a family member passed away then my spouse got into a car accident so things are slowly dying down. Hopefully i will be able to post pics by the end of this week since my first post of weight 203 i now weigh in at 195 so i have lost an additional 8 lbs. i still continue with my workout although i havent been able to do the 2 hours per day with everything thats been going on but i intend on getting back on that band wagon. My goal was to reach 190 by my birthday which is march 19th so hopefully i will be able to achieve that .
