Hi, I thought i would throw a little bit of an introduction out about myself. I just joined this group in an effort of find people who are going through the same thing as i am.
I am a younger mom (24 currently) and have two small children 3, and 5 months. I have had three pregnancies one right after the other, the second was lost to us and now lives in heaven. So my body had been beaten pretty hard. I do not plan on getting pregnant for another two years and would like to get my body back under control and away from being all flabby and hurting. My husband is way in iraq till Jan of 2010, This is another eason why i have decided its time to get under control, along with student teaching.

I am currently 245, i would like to be 200 by the end of the summer or longer, i could settle being 200 by time he gets back. I really want to do this, but have a hard time keeping motivated. My family are a bunch of skinny butts, and i just seem to have gotten the fat gene. Along with loosing weight i would like to be able to eat healthier and let that go into my family as well. Though my husband doesn't need it. He is 140 and has one of those scary metabolisms.

Ok ill stop rambling. And just say HI!!!!!!!

Hey,

Im new here also. Reading around, it seems like a good play to get support and keep your mind out it.

Im a new dad myself, my wife and I just had our first child 9 weeks ago. She gained 40lbs during the pregnancy getting too 195. (shes 5'3"). After having the baby, she now down 45 lbs too 150lbs. She encouraged me to start eating healthier and exercising too.

Its just important to use words like weight control, and healthy lifestyle - instead of 'diet' and 'weight loss'. (at least that's my opinion). It puts in perspective what it is really about, A lifestyle change. not a temporary thing.

New Also

I am new to this also. I just had my second child 6 weeks ago. I started my pregnancy at 201 and ended at 189. I know backwards but I was sick alot. I did have a healthy baby girl though. Well today I went for my 6 week check up and I am at 186. I had a 7 lb baby. So I am determined to get down to the weight I was when I joined the Army. I want to be 130. I am need of help and support. I have a very supportive husband who is wanting to loose weight also. But it seems to me that it is easier to stay accountable when you are talking with someone that is not a spouse. I have decided to put myself on a 1300 calorie a day plan and my husband on a 1600 calorie a day plan. I have been watching cook yourself thin and I think I am going to get the recipe book. I am just in need of an online friend to talk plans and stay accountable to.

hi im a mother also of a 3 year old not that young anymore but ive been facing the same challenges of trying to loose the pregnancy weigh that i have put on 1 was 180 when i found out i was pregnant and shot up to 230 by the end of my term. i want to get back down to my original weight of 160 by the end of summer and i am now at 195. Its been a challage and ive gone back and forth with the weight loss and gain but having supportive people around you makes a big difference. ive been surrounding myself with individuals who work out on a regular basis or are trying to loose weight and i have found that to be helpful because it helps motivate me to want to keep up and stay focused. as well ive joined/attended various classes to see what is best suited for me in the sense that i find it fun and enjoy it so it doesnt feel like working out (untill the next morning ) ive found it helpful to document as well my short term and longterm goals and ive made a calandar and put a green check mark everytime i meet my workout goal for that day and to visually see the green marks or the orange (for non completion) opens your eyes to how consistent you are. i hope some of those help or assist you in any way i can babble on for days with the trail and error things that ive done not everything is going to work for everyone so its just to fine tune it to something that you know you can stick with.
