Hello all,
I'm new and kind of nervous. I've never used a forum before and don't really know much about it.
I am 5'6" and 162 pounds. I want to get back to 130-135 range.
I have always been athletic. I played soccer since I was little, and travel soccer all through middle and high school. I also played school soccer and ran indoor for my high school. I suffered through shin splints and knee injuries, culminating in cortisone injections in my knees the summer before senior year. But senior year was my best year for soccer, I was at my strongest and most fit and the least knee pain.
Playing on a team really helped me because I was motivated to go to practice. Now having graduated from college and not doing much since graduating high school other than the occasional drop in class in college, I am looking for some motivation.
On the other hand, I love to eat. For any reason. I like vegetables and eat quite a lot but I love junk food. Chocolate, breads, chips, cookies, etc. I like to bake but try very hard not to do it very often as I tend to eat a ton.
I'm hoping that with a diary tracking what I eat and my activity and hopefully some support and motivation from this forum, I will be able to lose the weight that I have gained and be healthier and happier with myself.
I have read through some new people's posts and the responses to them have been incredibly helpful and encouraging.
