Hey everyone. My name is Eli, I'm 24 and I'm ready to start taking control of my life & well being.

I've been overweight since I was around 5 yrs old, and since I was around 12 or 13 I have dreamed of losing weight. There's been a lot of failed attempts along the way, and some successful ones. I was able to drop from 284 to about 255 back in '03. But now I've gained it all back plus some, and I'm at 321 right now. My goal is to get down to the 215 area. I'm 6'1" so I think that would be ideal for me.

The hardest things that I will have to adjust to is healthier/wiser eating (I lived off of fast food & soda) and also getting my sleeping habits in check. Most nights I wont go to sleep til about 3 or 4 am and then wake up at noon or 1 pm.

I don't like feeling sluggish & depressed all the time. I want to start enjoying my life for once!

Nah, but seriously...nobody wants to feel like that. Unfortunately, we all feel like poop sometimes. You know, even though we're all soft and warm, nobody wants to touch us. Anyway, things will get better as you start dropping some pounds. And, if you're anything like me, you'll be able to look down and see your penis again. So...that's a plus.

Now get rid of the fast food and pop (soda, whatever I'm from the north) and get your ass into gear! Ha

Thanks everyone! It's my first time on a forum for my weight, and I think it can do some good to talk with people who are either going through the experience or have gone through it.
