Hello everyone. My name is Lacey and I am 18 years old. I am 5' 2'' and weight around 145-150ish. I play hockey 2 days a week and I really want to get in shape for it. I eat healthy (never eat fast food or candy) and I am a vegetarian- pescitarian but my problem is that I eat too much and find myself getting lazy at times. I really want to get in shape and feel healthier and stronger for sports and i'm hoping that this forum will help me out.

Welcome aboard.

There's obviously a huge disconnect between 'eating too much and being lazy' and wanting to 'lose weight and be in shape.'

What do you plan on doing to bridge that gap?

haha that is definitely true.

I have hockey games on Saturdays and Practices on Mondays so I get good workouts on those days every week. I've gotten into a bad routine where I eat big bowls of cereal in the morning and go to school and maybe eat an apple at school and when I get home I'm so hungry I eat like 3-4 meals in a row. Terrible habit I know. So first off, I'm going to start out by eating medium sized bowls of cereal in the morning, bringing a healthy sandwich to school for lunch and some fruit. when I get home i'll snack on celery and carrots (I love fruits and veggies) and then a dinner with a salad. Hopefully I can get down to like 1500 calories a day. So i figure i'll do that for a week or two, and then when i get into that habit I will start setting up workouts for myself.

Sounds like a fine foot to start out on. Let us know if you have any questions.

Welcome to the forums. Hockey is...*cough* TOUGH. No, seriously, it is. I remember always falling when I wanted to hit the puck really hard.

Anyways, good luck.
