Hey guys! I was lurking last night at home and decided to go ahead and join! Can't hurt to have some support from others! A little about me. I am married with two boys, one a preschooler and one a toddler. Months ago I decided to give South Beach a try. I only got through 5 days of phase one and gave into the dizzy feeling of having no carbs. I ate ONE cracker and I felt 100%! That was the end of it! Then in late July/early August I gave it a go again and made ot through almost all of phase one. Phase one is easy for me because I can't have ANY carbs...it's when I start adding back in on phase two that I lose control. I love healthy carbs, but it's hard to decide which ONE meal I will have a serving at!
I am 5' 2.5" and was 159 pounds and ended up at 153.5 pounds. Not bad for almost two weeks! I maintained for a while then my husband relocated out of state to work until we have enough for us all to make the move. I REAAAAALLLLY want to get into shape and feel sexier than ever. In the month he has been away, I have lost another 2 pounds, which is better than nothing, but I have got to hit this hard core and stick with it. I love the way working out makes me feel, but it's not very consistent as I get bored with cardio and put it off for a week or two at a time. First step I figured was to take my measurements....yikes! Just did that about an hour ago....I need to lose about 12 inches in the waist alone to be the jean size I eventually want. So I better get off my lazy butt and start my cardio video! I'll try to post pics soon!
