Hi my name is Jess and I need to loose some weight. I am up around 300lbs(agian) and I am tired of going up and down every year. So I thought that anything and everything would help so I am here. Seems like a great site with nice people I think it will be a great help.
 
Welcome to the forums! People are very supportive and helpful here, so if you have any questions or just want to chew the fat (but not literally!!) just ask! :D

I suggest you start a Weight Loss Diary in the Diary forum and record your moods, exercise habits, and a record of what you eat (for a start).

Lots of people find it a helpful tool for getting in control of their habits. :)

other than starting a diary to keep track of your challenges and victories -I'd also suggest drpping the diet mentality and look at this as a lifestyle change... :)

Goals
Well I have been trying to lose weight and keep it off for a while. I have lost weight on the atkins, weight watchers, biggest loser, you name it I have tried it. Here are my goals

1. Start going to the gym 2 times a week
2. Eating a lower fat diet, and counting points (wieght watchers seemed to work, when I counted points)
3. Eating only when I am hungry( not when I am stressed, mad, sad, glad, you name it I will eat because of it.
4. Getting on this site and keep aware of my eating problem. I have been ignoring the fact that I have been eating to much. I need this site to help me keep movtivated.


Sorry if I am depressing but we are having a ice storm and I have done nothing but eat all day because I am bored. Thanks for letting me vent.
