Hi, my name is Justin and I came across this forum via google. I came here to discuss fitness and get some answers and share my routines. Basically, I've taken an interest in the MMA mixed martial arts world and started training at an MMA school but had to quit because of work hours and I've been working out on my own since.
My MMA circuit routine:
high intensity kickboxing with the bag and jump rope
bodyweight resistence - pushups, situps, planks, squats, lunges, leg raises, bicep curls, pullups, and variations on all of them
cool-down walk around the park with a 50 pound weighted vest, ankle weights, and hand weights
once in a while I go out to the field with a 40 pound dumbell and throw it over and over and carry it and run with it with guard up
I end up so sore from my resistence training that I can only do it once every 3 days, so I'm assuming that I'm doing it right, right?
I just do everything listed until I can't possibly do any more all in circuit, then repeat the circuit until I'm dead. But kickboxing/jump rope high pace is daily. I've dropped over 20 pounds in the last few months and feel lighter and stronger. By the way I stand 5'8" and weigh 200 pounds, but look like 175 guess it's muscle or something.
Nice to meet you guys!
