New Guy from KC

Hello all,

My name is Dave. I've always been a "big guy" and don't have any misconception that I'll ever be able to shake that. I have a large build that would just look funny if I was extremely thin. That being said, since college I have put on about 60 pounds that I need to lose. At the beginning of January, I was close to my all-time high in weight at 306 pounds. I've dropped about 7 pounds already by switching from regular to diet sodas and including more water in my daily routine. For the past 2 weeks, I've been a regular at the gym as well.

My main goal is to lose my fat belly, with a secondary goal of toning up some of the muscle that has become a bit weaker than it was during my college years. That's why I'm here. Thought I'd see if there are any tips that will help me achieve my goals...

spend some time readin the stickied threads through out the forum - you'll get plenty of tips there and do ask questions...

Toning, you'll find in reading, is the byproduct of fat loss..
