Hello everybody!

I was googling things like weight-loss, nutrition, diet, exercise....and that's how I found this site :)

I hope there are a lot of smart and nice people here, since I've been gaining weight, starting training, losing weight, and failing and doing that for....dunno.....5+ years, or my whole life...not sure :)

Aaaanyway, I'm 23 years old IT student, although I wanted to pursue art, philosophy or languages - this was the responsible choice - financial security....and since I started studying, I started gaining A LOT of weight rapidly!

My fattest ever was 130.8kg (289lb), and currently I'm at around 120kg. I've been at 113.5, but then started gaining and currently it's going up :(

That's my main reason for joining this...forum, site, I don't know yet what this is.

Now, I've found some cool exercises which are short and seem effective (called HIIT), and greeeeat food: it helps me lose weight, and it's so tasty that when I want to order pizza or something delicious - I DON'T, because this is soooo far more delicious..er :)

Anyway, don't know why, I stopped exercising, and just got back from town with 2 big red bulls and one big milka and I'm about to go buy some salami, yoghurt and bread to make myself a big ass sandwich for my big ass.

yea, I hate being fat. Sooo...if there's anyone here like....for support or whateva....I'd be happy :)

ta ta!

Hey,

We are very similar. I'm 20 and weigh about 273 now. I've lost some weight in the last week(like 4 pounds), but I'm starting to get cravings for things like pizza and what not. Can you tell me what kinds of foods you mentioned are sooo delicious that it kinda ends the cravings?

I've been eatting 5-6 smaller meals a day with healthy food and have been walking/ running about 3-4miles a day with an occasional workout video.

Hey there iron chE,

I'm so glad that there are people here, that the forum is alive :)

I personally prefer HIIT training because it lasts like....5-10 minutes, and the smart dudes say it has the same effect as the 30min run :)

And the food is aaaamazing! :)))

My favorite is with the chicken :)

You take 1 chicken breast, and it's enough for two meals, so cut it in half. And then add spices, and...know what, I'm just gonna write you the entire recipe here, it's for 4 people, so just divide everything by 4, unless you want to be big like 4 people :)

you're gonna need:

2 chicken breasts, sliced into 4 pieces

4 Tbs. soy sauce

2 Tbs. wine

1/2 Tbs. sugar

1 Tbs. cornstarch

1 Tbs. sesame oil, hot pressed (I use regular oil, it's still pretty tasty)

4 eggs

8 Tbs. vegetable oil

1 green onion, sliced into 1'' lengths

2 slices ginger, chopped

and do this:

Combine chicken, soy sauce, wine, sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil.

Mix well in bowl and set asid for 20 minutes. Then separate chicken from juice, saving the juice.

In pain, heat 4 Tbs. of vegetable oil, sautee onion and ginger, and fry chicken until done.

In another pan, heat 4 Tbs. of vegetable oil, drop in 1 egg and fry.

Transfer 1 piece of chicken to top of fried egg. Do the same with the other three eggs and pieces of chicken.

Heat juice you have earlier separated from chicken. Pour juice over chicken and serve.

That, my friend,is soooo good! Better than pizza, and you eat it before pizza (altogether cooking is no longer than 25mins, and pizza can come between 45-90 minutes, where I live :) )

try it, you're gonna fall in love! :p

I'll have to try that some time.

Do you have any goals placed yet? Right now, my goal is to be down to 240lbs by the time school starts again (Aug 20th...ish) and I want to be 220 with more muscle by next spring break (first week of march). It's going to be hard, especially when school starts back up, but I joined to get some support also. Maybe we can push each other!

my goal is to have 78kg :)

Don't know when, just to do it soon because....well, I don't want to be fat no more :)

Other than that, not really....maybe It's ok if I'm a few kg bigger, if I start exercising and get muscle, but that's the general interval: 75 to 85 kg :)

A little advice: try limiting your liquid intake to UNDER 6 cups per day (liquids include, but not limited to, water, alcohol, juices, fruits, soups, salads....)

I discovered that I'm retaining water, and if I limit my liquid intake, my weight goes waaaaay down :) Just give it like 2 weeks and you'll be surprised :p

(just don't overdo it to dehydrate, something like 1cup of liquid per day xD ) :)

about pushing each other, I'm not really for it....I get inspired and read read read, do do do, lose lose lose weight, and then just stop. So it's better if you find someone else :)

Right now I'm thinking how early I need to wake up to make it in time to the store opening and get some chocolates :)

So you see....I'm bad :)

Welcome aboard, Danny!
Should start up a Diary in the diaries sections, since people are always willing to read about others! It also helps to have some sort of accountability, and knowing others are watching your progress is a pretty stern reminder! :D

All the best!

hey there Sarah1983, thanks for the welcome! :)

I can't find the diary section, could you please link it here?

And thank you so much for pointing it out - I didn't know what to do here :)

anyway, 1st of July is the end of my first 3 months of doing this, I'm hoping to reach -15kg by then :) And right now I'm planning my next great conquest: 6 months, or until the end of the year - to get to my ideal weight, which is about 78kg, as my friend tells me (hot friend :p )

So that's when I'll start for real, right now I'm just testing out myself if I can keep up with the program I've put up for myself.

Anyway, it would be nice to know where the diary section is - this is kinda big site :p

Sure thing.. I have it on my 'favourites' bar, haha, since I have the same issue as you. :p Most of the time I only go to the diaries section of this site.. probably a waste of resources, but, hey!
