Hi everyboy,

Just joined this forum to support everybody's endeavor for weight loss and pursuing a healthier life. Last April I was diagnosed as high blood pressure (and high in cholestrol, blood sugar,..... you name it) and, in addition to start taking BP medication, my doctor warned me to stop playing basketball (my favorite hobby) since I may get heart attack or stroke possiblly. I am 42-year old with a lovely wife and two kids. My career is promising and I was determined to live a much healthier life after leaving the hospital.

I changed my diet habit eversince and do excerise regularly. I'm 5 foot 10 and my weight in April 2006 was 225 and body fat % was 31%. Now my weight is 179 with a 19% body fat %:) . My blood pressure becomes normal as well. I appreciate for all my friends and family's support during this period and want to do something to support more people in similiar situation as I do. So I joined this forum today.

I still have about 15 pounds to go to my ideal goal. But live a healthier life and be diciplined on diet will be part of my life forever.

Hi....

Thanks for your encouragement. It's been a life-changing journey for me so far. I've never known the importance of health until now, especially after my dad passed away last year. To live a healthy life and be with my family (and watch my children grow) have been great motivations for me to continue losing weight.

I've lost 46 pounds since last April and think that I've hit a plateau during the past 30 days. I've started to write food journal and watch my daily calorie intake now, and try to limit my daily calories to under 2,200 calories. Hope this way that I can lose the final 15 pounds within the next 6 months. And will appreciate any suggestions.........
