Hi Fellow Weightloss Buddies. I'm so pleased to join you. Today I had a helio (air filled) gastric balloon fitted and I'm feeling great and looking forward to success.

Just wanted to say hello and I hope your doing ok with the balloon. My bro in-law had a band put in place and has done very well with it. Hope you do to.

Hi there! hope you are still doing well. I've been doing some research on the gastric balloon and interested in having the procedure...can you tell me where you got yours? Who was your doctor?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
 
Balloons fitted in Vancouver

Hi, I had my balloon fitted on Wednesday by Dr. Woodhead in Vancouver, B.C. He has such a relaxed bed-side manner and answers questions thoroughly. His price including aftercare was $5,000 CAD.

Several hours after the balloon insersion I felt marvelous, but yesterday was a bit grotty as I felt sick and had intermittent cramps. Dr Woodhead had prescribed Tramacet so after a very short while I felt much improved.

Today I feel good as new although I definitely do not have an appetite. I'm just sipping on iced water throughout the day and had a little scrambled egg earlier...not my usual feast.

I'm 170lbs and hoping to get back to my normal weight of 125lbs.

Im having a ballon put in in a weeks time. The sickness bit is freaking me out... I dont do sick AT ALL! Please someone tell me its not that bad...
 
Donna - We have a great weight loss through surgery section. I suggest that you check some of the threads there. Some of the people there may not be checking the newcomer threads and see this - but checking and posting there gives you a better chance of making contact.
 
Hi ALL,
I just had the balloon inserted 3 days ago. OMG, I'm not feeling so great. Really bad cramps, feels like I'm on a rocky boat, this past is no fun. How long does this last for? I just can't wait to loose weight. Barely eatten in the last 3 days which is amazing not to be hungry, I'm loving that part. Hope this works for me. Any good news stories to share? It's so hard to find people who have done this.
