New beginnings, new journey

Hello all!!!!!! I'm back and with a new journal.

Life has been fairly up and down for me this year, and with several big developments in my life in just the passed couple of months I've found myself at this point, the heaviest I have been for ages.

I started a new job just a couple of months ago which is stressful in itself, then after settling in found out that my husband was getting relocated with his job. We were put in a situation where we would be stupid to refuse... So at the end of this week we are moving to a very remote location way up north to a small mining town with nothing around it... for 2 years. Yay... lol.

So... I've resigned my new job, and heading up to work for the same company as my husband. To say the last few weeks has been stressful is an understatement... Also we have been eating far too much takeaway and junk food over the last fortnight as we've been trying not to buy anything to put in cupboards etc for the move. Stress and laziness have been a pretty big factor too. All of my last catch ups with friends and family have involved meals and alcohol too. Argh I suck!

Anyway... flying out at the end of this week. I've stocked up on gym equipment for our house as there is no gym where I'm going... Figured there won't be much to do but exercise and work, and I'll have plenty of time to prepare healthy food again without excuses.

Haven't weighed myself yet, I'm planning on doing so as soon as we are set up in our new house. The scales are already packed away with pretty much everything else I own.

So there it is.... I'm back to stay, and determined to reach all my goals this time!!! Hope to make new friends and hopefully see some familiar faces too. :sifone:

Well it's already been forever since my first post... Moving is so frustrating! Still don't have the Internet at home yet... Wanted to wait until we did to start posting as it's so frustrating writing long posts by phone or on the IPad! O well, decided to not be lazy and so that's what I'm doing anyway.

We are mostly settled in now, was a pretty big shock to the system going so far north. It's winter here at the moment and where we moved from it was around 20 degrees Celsius with rain every other day... Up here, winter is 30 degrees celcius every day and not a cloud in the sky. So yea... Bit afraid of the summer if I have to use the air con in winter! I've used our swimming pool several times too, love it!

I've been working really long hours and keep getting offered overtime, was expecting this though. The store here is really shortstsffed because this place is so remote. Opportunity to make good money though, so I'm taking advantage!

Anyhoo, onto the weight stuff... After I unpacked my scales a fee weeks ago, I just about died after finding 75kgs glaring back at me. Eek! I've lost a couple of kgs since then, not really through exercise or anything, mostly just from working long hours on my feet. My husband unpacked and finished assembling my home gym the other day though, so excited! Going to start exercising regularly tomorrow! Was planning on starting c25k at the same time, but I think I've broken or at least damaged one of my toes... Going to let it heal a bit for a few weeks. Instead I'll be walking, swimming, and riding my spin bike for cardio.

Will post all of my official starting stats tomorrow, will weigh in etc when I get up in the morning. My goal for this month is to get down to 70kg and to be exercising daily again!

Positive thoughts... I know I can do it this time! :hurray:
 
A72.7kg this morning, so that'll be my start weight.

Food plan today:
Breakfast- vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 crushed weetbix
Snack: 2 small muffin bars
Lunch- 2 ham sandwiches (ran out of cheese and salad! Shopping today I think!)
Snack: cheese n crackers snack lite
Dinner- 2 sausages, Greek salad, homemade Popsicle.

Exercise- 30 min weight training circuit.

Also I'm working all day. I work in a supermarket up here and everything I do is on my feet, most of it involves lifting too so I'm pretty active all day.
 
AI ended up working 9-6 today, mostly stacking shelves n stuff so got heaps of walking and lifting in. Stuck to my food today, so had a 1000 cal deficit. Yay! I'm aiming for at least a 700 cal deficit daily so did well!
My workout this morning I couldn't do much I wanted to because of my toe, so did a 5 min warm up on my bike, then 3 sets of 20 squats, 3 sets of 15 20kg Romanian dead lifts, 3 sets of 15 lat pulldowns, 3 sets of 15 push ups, 3 sets of 12 shoulder press, 3 sets of 15 crunches, and 3 sets of 20 alternating ankle taps. Wanted to do lunges and plank too but balancing required bending my toes which is a bit painful right now. O well, it still took half an hour!

Tomorrow I'm working 6-4 so ill post my planned food and exercise now since I won't want to tomorrow morning!

Food-
Breakfast- vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix
Snack- 2 mini muffin bars
Lunch- 2 cheese and salad sandwiches on wholemeal grain
Snack- light cheese n crackers
Dinner- approx 200g roast beef with roast potatoes, carrots and pumpkin in herbs

Exercise is going to be either a 30 min walk or 30 mins on the exercise bike. Works out to be another 1000cal deficit day!

I ordered a few dresses off the net since there is literally nowhere to shop up here, thought I'd splurge a little as the work social club is doing a ladies night next weekend! Theyve hired a bus and we are all going out for dinner and a pub crawl... Going to be a big one! Hoping I'll get to know people a bit better, I'm pretty lonely at the moment with my husband working such long hours!

Wow. You sound super motivated!! :hurray:

I am doing the C25K at the moment and i am up to running 25mins!! at the moment, week 7! Which for me is just totally unthinkable. When i started i struggled with 1 min and now i am totally hooked.

I think it is funny that your weight now is the same as my goal weight at the moment :)

Anyway, good luck on your journey and keep posting.

I can't wait to start running again, waiting on my toe to get better grrr lol.

I was really good today, only thing extra I ate was a half homemade Popsicle... But I'm not gunn a freak over an extra 50cals!

Tomorrows plan:
Breakfast- vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix
Snack- 2 mini muffin bars
Lunch- 2 wholemeal grain sandwiches with cheese, salami and salad
Snack- lite cheese n crackers
Dinner- left over roast beef and Greek salad, homemade Popsicle

Exercise-
same routine I did the other day! 30 min strength training

I just ordered a couple sets of bikinis... My boobs are ridiculously ginormous right now, actually they always are but at the moment I'm a 12F. Good luck finding anything swimwear related in that size! How fortunate we are for the Internet :hurray::hurray:

Tomorrow I'm working 6.30am-6pm, hoo ha. Raking in the overtime! Funny that all the extra work hours help with my weight goals, because I control what I take to work and then only get certain amounts of breaks which I can stagger out. Can't eat while I'm working! Also the extra money doesn't hurt!
 
AWow!! nearly a 12 hour work shift! that's gotta be hard. It would definalty help my weight lose as i would go to bed the minute i walked thru the door!
 
AI hate the worst sleep last night Kate, I'd be sooo tempted to do that tonight... But I want to do my workout, so I'm going to try and stay motivated for that! I'm pretty sure I'm on late tomorrow so I can have a sleep in.

I managed to get out of work at 5.30pm today, I was soooo exhausted! Mostly just cuz of my crappy sleep I'm sure. So didn't do my workout... I'm allowing myself one day off a week anyway, but I'm a bit angry that I'm taking it only 3 days in! Grr.

Ate what I said I would plus an extra large skim coffee no sugar- was falling asleep by lunch! Without my workout I finished today with about a 750cal deficit which is still fine for me to reach my goal. So I'm ok with that!

I'm doing a late shift tomorrow, 11.30-9.30 or roundabouts... So I get to sleep in and do my workout, and even go for a swim after if I feel like it! Yay! Haha funny how I'm working up here all the time but I'm still getting pretty tanned from being out for like half an hour here or there. Here's tomorrows food plan- cuz I'm working late I won't have dinner when I get home, I'm going to have 2 breakfasts... And lunch lol.

Breakfast 1- vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix
Breakfast 2- 2 pieces wholemeal grain toast, 2 eggs, 2 beef chili chevups
Snack- 2 mini muffin bars
Lunch- 2 wholemeal rolls with cheese, salami and salad
Snack- lite cheese with crackers

Yesterday was really good, I was energetic after my workout so I went for a quick walk but it was too hot outside... So jumped in the pool instead! Also had a homemade popsicle because I was a couple hundred calories short for the day.

Urgh so yesterday I was on close and didn't leave work till around 10pm, and today I'm on open to start at 6.30am. I get sun and mon off, sooo can't wait for my days!

Today's plan:
breakfast- vanilla pot set yogurt, 100g strawberries, 3 weetbix
Snack- 2 mini muffin bars
Lunch- 2 wholemeal grain cheese and salad sandwiches
Snack- light cheese and crackers
Dinner- crumbed oven baked fish with 130g sweet potato chips, whole bottle of diet champagne

Exercise is just a 30min walk after work today... Really hoping to be outta there by 4.30!

Today I'll end up with a 750cal deficit, which I'm fine with. It's the weekend dammit and I need to unwind a little! :hat:
 
Hey Luz! Glad to see you are back as well. I just came back myself after falling off my diet hard. Oh well, we start fresh together, right?
 
AHello and good morning all!

Hooray for I made it to my days off- what a long week! Yesterday I got home from work a bit too late to walk, it was just after 5pm... Was too tired too, if I'm honest. So no exercise, but I adjusted my dinner so I only had 80g sweet potato. So a 750 cal deficit yesterday.

Today I've already done a workout, and been for a half hour walk. Planning on swimming later too when it gets a bit hotter, yay! Other then that, I fully plan to sit on my ass all day. Possibly play the new super Mario bros on the wii with my hubby lol. Multiplayer is so much fun- it takes us forever to get anywhere cuz we keep killing each other! Mwahahaha!

Today's food-
Breakfast: 2 pancakes with a scrape on raspberry jam and a scrape of vanilla pot set yogurt (yogurt on pancakes = yum! Who would've guessed?)
Snack: 1 mini muffin bar
Lunch: cheese and salad sandwich on wholemeal grain
Snack: lite cheese and crackers
Dinner: roast chicken (breast, only part I like!) skin off, Greek salad

So that'll leave me with a 1000cal deficit. Pancakes were good, love Sundays! I don't feel guilty, already worked them off lol.

Argh wish I had the net already, i took the nicest photo of the beach this morning on my walk! We are literally a 2 min walk around the corner from the beach and it's so pretty!
On the Internet subject, my husband was getting impatient so he rang the Internet company we use a few days ago and asked what was going on. Well apparently the net shouldve been connected at the same time as the phone over a week ago, and the guy said it wasn't anywhere that we had transferred the net- even though we paid the transfer plus extra cuz the plan we were on didn't exist anymore, yada yada... So he asked to speak to a supervisor, got all angry n let him have it lol. So we should have the net next week, the supervisor apologized profusely and said for our trouble he's going to send us a free Android tablet (the android version of an iPad) with an Internet dongle and 5 gigs a month on it. Yay lol because it'll be mine- my husband owns the iPad I use at the moment n he has an iPhone... I have an android because I prefer the operating system. Now I get an awesome freebie too!

Lol anyhoo... Hope everyone is having a marvellous weekend!

That made me laugh so hard because it's the same with my hubby and me. Sounds like you had a fun day planned, wish I lived 2 minutes from a beach! Jealous! Good job staying track with calories, I find that so hard on the weekends.
