New and Trying to Get a Clue

Hello Everyone

I am new..well actually I was here last year under a different name and not really successful but I have been thinking over the last few weeks and especially last few days and I am actually just SICK of feeling large and not in charge. I am 5 foot 2 and about 182 pounds. I work out with a personal trainer on Mondays and have some pretty good exercise equipment in my house.

So whats the problem....?? The problem is just me and my brain and my tummy. I am finding that if I dont get enough food I cant concentrate and so I try to "be good" and do chickens/salads/no white bread etc but the minute I get hungry I am unfocused and it is an issue until I eat real food.

So my trainer put me on this eating plan of meals every few hours. A protien, a carb and a veggie every 3 hours and it worked for awhile but with my busy schedule I just lost focus again.

So ya see I know if its to be its up to me, so I need to really just get committed to this.

Both my dtr and Hubby are overweight too so i am trying to get them to start with me ASAP.

Anyway...

Hello to you all and if anyone can give me tips about navigating the site I would appreciate it. Last time i had a hard time keeping up with people

hugs to all

Some advice:

#1: Prepare your meals in advance. It takes the guesswork out of the equation. This means of course that you have to simplify your food intake and separate it from the rest of the families.

#2: Record your caloric intake for the day. Learn what the meals you eat cost in terms of calories. This way you can track your progress and fix mistakes along the way.

#3: New Years is a great time to start a new resolution/eating plan. Take the next week to prepare for it.

#4: Exercise hard: push yourself. Other than bad eating habits this is my #1 issue with people when trying to improve themselves. They don't push hard enough or challenge their bodies.

Follow these 4 recommendations and you'll have a great New Years next year!
