New and ready to get rid of some weight!

Good day (and evening) to you all!

I just joined a gym a week ago and I have no idea what to do exactly.

I just used the treadmills and another apparatus that makes you walk... I'm not sure what it does but it really is a work out using it. I spend like 3 hours in the gym and I work up a good sweat.

I just want my belly to go away, that's all. I never smoked and drink coffee, coke or pepsi type drinks. Sometimes I down some alcoholic drinks BUT only on occasion. I'm more of a juice and fruits type of man, but I eat a lot of those stuff and a lot more.

Right now I am 210 pounds and 19 years old. With my heavy big-boned build and 5.5 feet tall stature, I'm hoping to reach 140 pounds.

welcome to the forum! i think your off to a great start having been at the gym for a week already and also watching what you eat. i'd suggest reading the 'stickies' in both the nutrition and exercise section of the forum to help you get a good start on where to begin nutritionwise and exercisewise. it's alot of info but somewhere in there there'll be a bunch of links to exercise videos (to answer your question about what other stuff you can also add on at the gym). wishing you all the best on your weight loss journey xoxo

Hey! Welcome to the site! It sounds like you're off to a great start.

If reducing belly size is what you're after I suggest doing exercises that target that region - IE crunches and side bends, etc.

Anyway, I hope you find the forum as useful as I have! If you haven't already I suggest starting a post in the diary/journal section. :) It can really help keep you motivated and the people here are very supportive. ^_^ Good luck with your weight loss goals!
