New and needing exercise advice!!

Ok, so basically. Single mum trying to loose weight.

Got the diet down, and its working fine.
the exercise on the other hand...

I use a exercise DVD (given that I can't afford to join a gym.) It's 50 minutes long (5 ten minute sessions)
Now my questions is, do I have to do the whole 50 minutes in one shot or can I divide them up.

I ask this because I struggle to find a whole hour at any point in the day to get it done. So i was wondering if it would have the same effect if I did say, two 10 minute sessions in the morning, one 10 minute session in the afternoon and the last two 10 minute sessions in the evening?

I tried it out and it all fitted in perfectly with my usual daily routine, but I didn't feel as worked out as I would if I did the whole lot in one go...

I just want to know if it will still have the same effect and burn as many calories?
