hi all. :seeya: i´m new on here from london and would really like some help.

it´s definately time to lose weight bu just can´t seem to get motivated. would really like a few people who have similar weight goals to buddy up with as i think that having support would really help me. í hope tht i ca also motivate and maybe evenhave fun nd meet peopl in similar situation.

Welcome aboard.

I think it's important to find ways to establish internal drive/motivation. That way it's "on you" to progress or not. If you leave it up to others, you're always leaving yourself an "out" or excuse for not succeeding.

That said, of course support or friendly competition can help as well. For that, you might want to check out the challenges section of the forum. You also might want to start a journal to record your trials, successes, etc and to meet others around here.

I'm a newbie too and from Manchester!
I have a couple of stone to lose for my wedding next Easter but am currently laid up on couch with a broken ankle!But not to worry...I know I have to be extra careful what I eat as I can't do any aerobic exercise so I'm starting a food diary. Have a tendency to eat when bored but I thought it's a good place to start!

How much do you want to lose? Do you exercise much?Walking with your buggy is really good if you can get out and about!

hi thanx fo the quick reply :) poor you. hope ur ankle is better soon . ? hop u didnt do it doing exercise :) well i weigh 13 st and woul like to get to maybe 9 and a half. no wedding to slim for but it is my bday in april so i would love to have a fab b?rthday with pictures i actually like. but would love to buddy up : how do i message u on here ? do u know.

I weigh 13st and would like to get to 11st. I am quite tall at 5ft 8" so thats right for me.
I've been various sizes from 10st to 15st....one involving over exercise and diet pills and the other was overeating and no exercise!But I know my optimum is 11st and I know I can achieve it with sensible eating and moderate exercise.
So yes April will be a great goal for both of us...my bday is March so I would like to be about 11st 7lb by then to be on track.
I think we can PM eachother after 5 days....we'll see.

I`m 13st 1 so were pretty similar but due to being a short ass :) i`m only 5ft 4 so looking to lose a bit more than 2st but small goals first :) no doubt you will reach ur goal and have the best wedding day ever :) how long until your ankle is healed?

what diet are you doing? my general weight has always been between 9st and 11 st heaviest. i love sports but not having anyone to do them with bores me. i`ve got a wii fit and started doing that which i find is pretty good fun. and no ones around to laugh :)

yeah it says 5 days till pms so another 4 days for me :)

I am also a newbie on this site.
I have been searching for my motivation for weeks and I have not found it yet...although I would have thought with a partner who is fitness mad I would have been well into it by now but for some reason...nothing and im still far to much of a chocolate lover!!
It would be good to find some buddies on here to help motivate eachother! I dont know anyone in the same position as me (needing to lose weight) so I find it very difficult.
Anyway, have you started any sort of diet or exercise regime.. or found any motivation as yet?
Be good to hear from anyone with the same issues as myself!
