New and in desperate need of help!

I have been trying to lose weight. I am 5 ft. 3in. I now weigh 175. I weighed 220 only 3 months ago. I am trying to lose 31 pounds but I seem to have hit a block. I am not losing weight. I currently power walk 2 hours a day and in the afternoon I burn 1,200 calories on an eliptical. I do this in sections of 30 min. burning 400 caloires. In between those sections I do some strength training. What am I doing wrong? I eat around 1,000 calories or less a day. Please I need help!!!!!
 
Welcome to the forums!

Try upping your calorie intake (if you're really burning that many calories, you need more than 1,000 a day!) and mix up the workouts. Try that for a few weeks and see if it has any effect. Also, sometimes you may appear to not be losing any weight, but if you track your bust-hips-waist measurements and the size of your clothes, you might actually still be losing inches. This happens to me sometimes, the scale isn't budging at all but my clothes will be getting looser.
 
Agree with the poster above, I was like you up till last week really only eating 1000 cals max per day now im around 1300-1400 over the last 3 days and lost 2 lbs still (still pushing it really) I found upping in Protein calories a great help over the last week. (eggs, tuna, chicken/turkey, whey protein shakes).

Also 2 hours power walk isnt needed I used to do similar but now I only do 30-45 mins real intense cardio about 1 hour after my biggest meal.

Eating every 3 hours helps too by keeping the metabolic rate higher.
