Need to lose a little more fat in the left side of my face

Hi.

I recently lost 55 pounds thru a combination of curbed diet, exercise and taking the bus and subway. Subsequently, I lost a lot of weight in my face which has been a great physical improvement for me.

The problem is for some reason I still have a bit of fat on the left side of my face in the cheek area that doesn't seem to dissolve.

I don't know if people notice the difference, but I would like to find someway to lose the fat and get my face looking symmetrical again. Moreover, I am planning to meet a woman i've been chatting with for a while for the first time in about a month and would love to have my face back to normal by then.

Any and all advice anyone can give me regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

i don't think there's really anything you can do about that. honestly, EVERYONE is asymmetrical. i have one ear lower than the other, one breast larger than the other and the other one hangs lower, and a lot of people have similar issues, mostly the noticeable asymmetries are when the eyes are involved, but that's only because people look into other people's eyes a lot, so it's easier to notice, but even then it's difficult. i can pretty much guarantee that nobody will notice, and you're just psyching yourself out.

Thank you so much for your kind response. You are certainly right in your assessment as I rarely notice other people's imperfections.

I guess I am extra sensitive as I am set to meet a woman in Sacramento in 1 week. We have chatted online for over 1 year and now we will meet face to face for the first time. I guess I am nervous of what she will think about me, but in the end I know I will just be myself and see how everything turns out.

I wish you luck as well on all of your weight loss/fitness goals.

people have the tendency to over-process when it comes to their "faults". it takes a long time to get a more accurate view of yourself. for instance- i know i'm fat, but i also know i'm not the size of a baby blue whale, which is something i pretty much assured myself was true years ago when i was deeply involved in anorexic and bulimic behaviors.

i wish you good luck on the meet-up, it's a good thing to meet. i went from online dating to living with someone within 2 years with no previous meet-ups, and it was awful, he became abusive. it's a long story, actually.

and thanks, you too! :D
