HELP ME WITH A MUMMY TUMMY!

I had my daugter 2 years ago, and my son in Jan 08.

I haven't gained too much weight anywhere other than the bottom of my tummy, after my daughter was born i stuck to a diet and excersise plan without a lot of joy, unfortunatley my baby boy was stillborn in Jan so i kinda gave up on everything so am very outta shape!

I dont want to spend hours doing diets and excersises that dont work... Any advice?

Thanks x x x

No diets... Just eat healthy foods and watch your calories. Exercise is obviously a must, especially if you want to see progress with a post-baby belly. I run 5 days a week. Go check out my "Post Baby-Belly Progress Pics" thread in the Before, Inbetween and After section. I had my baby February 21, 2008. I didn't start working out until the middle of April. In just 4months I already see and have a big difference.

AND I had a c-section.

I agree with Kacey23 in that eating healthy and exercising will help. (BTW, Kacey23’s pics are inspirational.) Like Kacey23, I had a c-section this past May and started exercising in early July. My weight and “Mommy Tummy” are definitely decreasing. I’m not dieting. I’m just watching my portion sizes, drinking water, keeping sweets to a minimum, and eating much fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats and low-fat dairy. For exercise, I walk or follow a post-pregnancy exercise video. I exercise 5 days a week. There are post-pregnancy exercise videos you can buy or rent on Netflix to retrain your stomach muscles. (Erin O’Brien’s Postnatal Rescue and Jennifer Gianni’s Fusion Pilates for Post-Pregnancy Recovery come to mind.)

Best wishes on reducing your Mommy Tummy.

Try to find an exercise program that you really enjoy and it won't seem like such a chore. For me, it was group exercise classes at the YMCA. After a month or so, I started making new mommy friends at my classes that missed me when I wasn't there. So this made me accountable for my exercise.

Hang in there!
