Need to bulk up.......

Well I'm about 14 years old, I weigh about 130, and I want to bulk up. I eat all the time, but I make sure it's healthy. But for some reason my weight doesn't change, and I'm not really bulking up any. I'm going to buy some weights pretty soon. I thought that if I get more muscle, it will put more meat on me. So what do you recommend for me. I do crunches, pull ups, and push-ups, but that's about it, and I don't get that noticeable results. I thought maybe you know how much I should start lifting. Or if there is anything else you recommend me doing. I'm also working on my abs and chest, but again, nothing too noticeable. I guess it takes time. Any advice? And also, I have a bird chest if anyone knows what that is. Could that be the cause of my chest not getting any results?

Thanks.

to gain weight "muscle" besides just eating you must increase the load you are using over a period of time ie start of at a weight you find comfortable and increase it every week by a reasonable amount.

Normally i would say you need to start lifting weights, but you may be a little young. I'd say stick with the exercises you're doing now, and eat a LOT more. But be sure that what you're eating is healthy, or it won't help you.

I would say lift weights if you feel you are developed enough. To bulk up you need to eat more, and not just crap. Good foods. Search around the site for an idea. I do weights, and I'm 14 (9th grade) but then again I'm 5ft 11 and 150lbs.

Bulking up

Hey, I can relate as I was once super skinny and stayed that way for a long
time. I ate a lot and trained alot. They key to to

A) Eat more and utilize High Calorie/Protein shakes

B) Forced reps ! Get someone to spot you that's bigger, and stronger that
can push you !

Here's a good site for totally free tips.

I love chatting about this stuff because I went from being 6' and 127lbs to
6' and 190lbs. All of that happened from proper eating, training, and recovery !

I'd like to see your definition of "eating a lot". You need to eat some more, baby! Check out Berardi's book Scrawny to Brawny - one of the best investments you can put your money towards. I would say that working out would be fine, but it depends on some variables.
