need some1 to accompany me in my weight-loss journey

hello everybody.
im samantha, 25 yrs and currently doing 182lb. ive always been the big bone type, but i dont agree to this stigma. i think i hate myself but i never admit it. ive always been fighting against my weight. but 1 thing i may proudly say is that i can now exercise like rather normal people. ive always hated exercising coz im heavy and sports for me was once a torture bestowed upon me. but now im thankful that i rather enjoy going to the gym.

its been 3 weeks now that ive rejoined the gym after 6 month. i manage to go thrice a week but i really feel i should go more in order to lose weight and not lose motivation again.

as far as diet is concerned, im not really into strict diet n im like into letting myself eating rubbish whenever people around me are having junk food, ice creams and other high calorie food. but as far as im alone , im able to stick to some salad and soups.

it is just a start like many of the former starts, but seriously im fed up getting dress in 16-18. i need to look like a young 25 lady n not as a mother of 5 kids.so if any1 think he/she needs support like me or feels like supporting me, ill b glad to share my experience and im sure its gonna be easier together :banghead:

It's great that you are starting (even if it is again) I think most people here have gone through what you have (quitting then starting again) and I know that I have. If you continue to come to the forums and write things down I'm sure it will help you as you will be able to track everything that you do and see where you might be going wrong.

I myself love lifting weights. I'm not strong and certainly not fit, most people lift more than me but that doesn't matter. I only compare myself to myself the time before I was in the gym. This doesn't lead to the weight lifting that most people suggest for beginners but the time before my recent retry I was losing weight while gaining some muscle and a lot of strength.

One thing I always suggest doing to people is keep a journal with you all of the time. In it record everything that you consume in your body. Drinks and Food. That's pretty standard right? I would add to it however and include how you felt after eating that food. Not directly after give it some time. While some foods are good for you they may make you feel a certain way. If you record that you felt energized after eating X but sluggish after eating Y you'll want to stay away from Y while including X more often especially when you go to the gym. You might want to try the same food/drinks (or just water :p ) multiple times as there are always other factors I find it helps me.

I hope that some of this information helps you out at least a little and that you find anything in there that you can use to help you. We are all here to support one another and if you need any help or anything just feel free to ask.

id like to know if theres any specific place on the forum so that i post what i eat and activities i do coz having a journal in my bag doesnt really help me coz no1 can really help me if im not eating the right thing

I've been there too ... After reachin my all time low 135lbs.... i quit the gym and the healthy lifestyle... and Im 154 now :( I joined the forum 2 weeks back ... and gym 2.5 weeks back .... cut down the extra cals....

Don worry! We'll be able to do it.... I fit into 12 n 14 :( ... hate shoppin for XXLs and XLs .... Theres got to be a stop ... This time... Im goin non stop !! Im countin on Gym n cuttin extra calories !! Hmmmm

Congratulations lady, for a fantastic new start! Not only you joined our forums, but you already managed to stay in the gym for three weeks! That's admirable :) My first week has passed and the first two tries were very hard for me, but I'm getting to like the workout very much and I hope I'll be able to get to a stage like yourself! You can definitely do it! Just believe in yourself!

Did you start a journal btw?

so u mean to b able to set up my signature, i have to post minimum 10 times?ok

and azara for the gym stuff, it would have been so nice if i had some1 like me to do the workout. but ive always been alone in my journey. every1 else at the gym seems to be fit and healthy. but im not losing interest. u know for me its different from u. at the start im very keen at going to the gym regularly but later o i tend to lose confidence but now (as usual)ive promised to myself that i should no more b fat :(it makes me so sad. coz i was recently wearing 16 but before joining the gym, ive noticed 16 is a bit tight. i DONT want to fit in 18.

for the time being my goal is to fit in 14 and weight at least 160lb. i dnt set myself huge goals coz then i get unmotivated and stop everything.

this forum wid wonderful people like u will definitely help me, coz just before coming right now, i wanted to eat chocolate cake, but as i read ur post, i got motivated not to do silly things and go to the gym again :)

btw at gym i have coconut water instead of plain water and ive just started having oatmeal in the morning and if im hungry before heading to the gym, i have oatmeal again 1hr prior to gym. it helps me not feeling famished after gym classes.


btw is there any specific post to keep a journal on the forum?coz keeping a journal wid me doesnt really help if others doesnt see wat i eat and tell me if im wrong or not
 
hello hello. we are Saturday and most probably im not partying tonight so there will b less damage.

do u guys drink alcohol when ur on diet? if so does it affect ur weight loss? have a nice saturday ;)
 
i just checked out kilo to pound converter, and my starting weight was not 182 lbs as i said but 202.4 lbs in kilo(which i use in my country is 92kg)
