need some more information bout getting ripped

well here's the story

I'm working out for a few years now, but never actually got ripped.

With being ripped i mean having a visible 6 pac and good definition .

I need some tips on: cardio (how much, when, after weights work out or seperate day?), what to eat (when, how much) and weights workout (longer sets, lighter weights, ...)?

If someone has a program with nutritional info and/or supplements that help, then that would be of great help to me :)

i'd recommend some bodybuilding magazines they have tons of info on supplements, foods, workout routines ect. ect.

Eat a lot of protein, use heavy weights with fewer reps, do a lot of forced reps, but thats all i know. Get a book or two on body building as they are the most helpful or get some instructional videos ect.

A lot of info available online.......takes a long time to read it all. Most of it is trial and error. Everyone builds/cuts/grows differently.

Start reading articles in the archives at the following sites:

www.bodybuilding.com

www.t-nation.com

Both are very informative. You'll be reading for a long time.

I would stay a way from pro body builders routines because most(not all) either have incredible genetics or an incredible threshhold for pain caused by needles.

Good luck,
DM

and steer away from bodybuilding magazines...most of the things endorsed are done so only because the bodybuilders are payed to recommend something.

...bodybuilding magazines suck! What's with all the ads made to look like articles. Plus a guy who weighs 185 lbs and isn't on juice can't do Ronnie Coleman's routine...

Your best bet, if you have the money, is meet with a nutritionist and get a program to follow and hire a qualified trainer who has the kinda body you want. Good luck.

lol shredded singer, I don't live in america :) where we have 10000 nutritionists and dito personal trainers

so i'll have to do it on my own, what i just would like is a nutritional program what can i eat, etc...

This is the book I follow:

It has worked for me. Nothing in it is crazy or faddy, it's centered in the truth about how the body works.
