need some help

About 3 months ago I started a weight loss diet plan. By changing my eating habits and starting to exercise I went form 230lbs to 200lbs. I am 23 and 6’ tall so I am now consuming about 2000 calories a day. Also I run for 1 hour on an elliptical 3x a week. I do 15 minutes of strength training3x a week and take ecgc. My question is I am trying to get a six pack or at least flat abs. Is there anything more that I can do? Would taking CLA help? Any input is appreciated.

To get abs you need to:

a) Have a body fat percentage low enough that they can show and;
b) build your abs enough so that they are visible

So in essence, you need to continue losing fat until you are happy with what you see.

I would recommend that you spend more time using free weights and implement a full body workout into your routine 3 times per week. You can use the elliptical on your off days. There is a tonne of information re full body workouts on this site.

Instead of using the elliptical for an hour, you can use intervals or implement HIIT techniques for a better result in less time. If you work intensely enough you can be done in 20-30 mins. You wont want to train any longer.....

Well done on the weight loss so far!
