I'm a 19 year old guy at university just now. Since the summer I started going to the gym more. I weigh in at 212 pounds just now. Planning to go to Singapore for my 3rd year of university next summer and I don't want to be the "fat" guy when I go, I at least want to lose 30 pounds before I go.

Thing is i started taking my weight seriously a couple of months ago. I weighed in at 215ish at the start of October, now I weigh in at 212. I've been going to the gym at least 4 or 5 times a week, doing 45-60mins of cardio with some weight training. Now I can't seem to get past 212 pounds!! I've cut back on all the junk food and fizzy drinks, but I know my diet isn't amazing, being an asian family aswell. I just need some tips or even some mock diet plans. I am really determined to get rid of this weight so I can enjoy myself while I am at singapore next year.

thanks for reading and i appreciate the help.

Hello adnanr34
I really appreciate your effort for reducing your weight. I just want to tell you some of the tips to lose your fats quickly. Remember it is your fat and not weight that you want to get rid off. Tips are are:
1. Drinking lots of water is of the utmost importance. Not only this is beneficial to your health, but it also helps in circulation and toxin drainage. Try to drink at least two liters or more a day. If you get bored of water, try drinking herbal tea or fruit juice instead. This will really help you in reducing your fats .
2. Daily exercising will help in rapid reduction of fats. It will improve circulation since weight gain can worsen the look of fats. Keep doing the exercise as you are already doing
3. Drinking green tea every morning and while you eat will cut down your fats. Green tea is a proven natural metabolism booster. Prefer drinking it without or with little sugar.
4. Coffee, alcohol and Cigarette/Cigars are rich with toxin. Cutting them down or eliminating them will reduce the fats.
Following above tips will help you reduce your fats within weeks. If you need other supplements in addition to above tips you can visit the below mentioned site.

Be wary of drinking too much fruit juice.
Fruit contains vitamins and also calories - but the bulk in the fruit satisfies your hunger so that you feel full for a while before wanting more. Fruit juice contains the same vitamins and calories as the fruit - but it does not satisfy your hunger. You therefore have the juice and are still hungry.

You should however follow the other advice and drink water. You really should aim to drink more than the 2litres that the poster suggests. Here is a link on the subject...

Coffee actually has a lot of health benefits associated with it. If drunk in moderation, there is nothing 'toxic' about it.

thanks for the tips guys. good thing is i dont smoke or drink alchohol, and i am trying to drink lots of water. i am now at 209 pounds. i think the scales were just a bit messed up. i know i am getting fitter. one of the way i can tell is when i am walking up the stairs at uni. there are so many and going up 4 or 5 floors would make me bust a sweat before. now i get barely out of breath walking up them.
