Hi guys,
This is my first post on this forum, and i must say its a selfish one. I'm not new to these forums, although i haven't posted. I've looked at others posts and tried to use other people's stories for inspiration.

I started my journey at 205 pounds, about 5'7". I started going to the gym fairly regularly and for the past 4 or so weeks have been doing pretty well. I have been lifting about 3/4 times a week, alternating between lower and upper body. I was also doing 40 minutes of eliptical cardio 4 to 5 days a week, however have been slacking on that recently.

I have also started counting caloires about a week and half ago, trying to keep my intake between 1800 and 2000 calories daily. However i am in college, and its hard to always stick to those numbers.

I just recently weighed myself for the first time since starting and ive only lost 3 freakin pounds! GRRRR!

Anyone have any advise for me? I'm stuck and havin a hard time stayin motivated, if its not producing results.

I was thinking about focusing more on the cardio again. Possibly stepping it up to an hour, 4 to 5 days a week still tho.
I had been cutting out a lot of carbs from my diet, but now im thinking maybe NO carbs is the way to go.

Please help
I'm in need of some advice, cause i'm feeling like giving this whole thing up.

Thanks

If you feel like giving up then maybe you should... Because it doesn't sound like you're committed to making this a lifestyle change...

You say you aren't new to these forums but it doesn't sound like you've spent any time reading the stickied threads...

Carbs do not make you gain weight, nor will cutting them make you lose weight any faster. it's total calories consumed durng the day...

I'd start by keeping a record of everything that you put in your mouth and see if it really is 2000 calories... And read the stickied threads in exerice and nutrition...

You say you've lost 3lbs - in what time period?
What have your measurements done?

If you meant that you have lost 3lbs in four weeks, I think that is good! Not everyone drops weight like there is no tomorrow and that is okay. Don't give up now, keep pushing and having patience. You can do it but you have to give it time. And cutting out all carbs would be a big mistake. You'll feel like crap and you won't have the energy to exercise. Forget about lifting weights, you won't be able to lift your arms. :ack2:
