Need some dieting Help

Hello everyone Iam about 5'11 215pds over the past 5 months ive become very lazy and inactive and Iam ready to go on a diet and get back into shape. Ive read some other threads about what types of foods to eat iam wanting to go with a high protien type diet now heres my problem. Iam not sure how much to eat and I believe my biggest problem is I eat to much at a serving. The other day I tried just cutting my eating in half and by night time I became shakey and sweaty more less I had to eat and quick and once I did I felt much better. I want a diet that will sustain me througout the day and by nighttime my body wont be craving for more food.
 
Well, are you eating 6 meals per day, with protein, carbs, and a small amount of healthy fat at each meal?

Next I'd suggest buying a small kitchen scale, and use to track your eating habits for a week. Measure all food and be as accurate as you can with fitday (don't cheat) and that'll give you a better idea of how good or bad your current diet is.

you don't need to 'go on' a diet...you need to change your current diet to a balanced one. Since you're after fat loss, I recommend 1g of protein per pound of lean body mass. To determine your lean body mass, you'll need to have your body fat tested...then you just multiply your total weight by the percentage adn that tells you how many pounds of fat you have...then subtract that number from your total weight to get lean body weight. (you can also subtract another 10lbs for the weight of your skeleton if you want a little more accurate lean body mass - muscles, skin and internal organ weight).

Shakey and sweaty sounds like low blood sugar, or psycological, rather than physiological...but its hard to diagnose on a forum.
Just track your food for a week...that'll reveal a lot.

Be more specific - post what and how much you eat for breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc. I can't really help if I don't know what your routine is like. I don't want to post the ideal meal plan if it's not something you can jump into or stick to -
 
Well I get up ill eat maybe a bowl of sugar filled cereal thats around 10am about an hour later bologna samwich or two inbetween that probably a bowl of dorritos and a soda. By dinner time 5-7pm Iam eating chicken with rice macaroni green beans. Ill probably give myself two servings of this. Will snack on some cookies or something around 10ish and sometimes even indulge in another samwich after midnight.
