Hey everyone,
I am a 22 year old male who is 5'10" and 216lbs. I want to get going and improve my health and I need advice. Currently I eat a lot of fastfood and am not very good at the three meals a day thing.
I just signed up for a gym and plan on going there at least 4 times a week. I try to do cardio (mostly tredmill) for about 45-50 minutes (powerwalking/jogging) and throw in about 15 to 20 minutes of cycling.
Question 1: I have never lifted before...can you guys give me some advice for begining lifting? Or even a website with tips?
Question 2: There is no way I can do 5 meals a day (between school, gym, and work I don't have a lot of time). What would be a good three meal plan? For example...would a bowl of cereal and 1% milk be good for breakfast? And how about a deli sandwhich (no mayo or bacon) for lunch? And what about dinner?
Question 3: Motivation will be the hardest thing...I mean sticking with it. I plan on frequenting these boards a lot to keep me on the wagon but what would be a good weekly or monthly goal? I dont want to get through the first month, lose 5lbs and give up thinking that I could of done better.
