Need ideas for weight loss gift

My friend is having a party next weekend to celebrate losing her 100th pound. I need ideas for a gift for her (other than money, looking for something creative, though money will be a last resort, she does need to buy new clothes.) Though if it had to do with 100 coins somehow creatively presented, that would be good, too. Like 100 quearters.

Any creative ideas? It doesn't have to go along with the 100 theme.

Thank you...

wow a party to celebrate losing 100lbs? damn I shudda tried that... :D

hmmm...

What budget are you looking at?

Since she might not want an actual reminder of the 100lbs lost - or her before life...

I might go with something more symbolic - a Phoenix - the bird that rises from the ashes
a butterfly - sometihng beautiful that emerges from a cocoon.

something engraved with the date on it.

I'm gonna have a party for 25 if I ever get there I think! :D

What a good idea and incentive!

Hmmm.. I don't know what you could get her as I don't know her

Like for example, my friend has always said she'd like to lose weight and be confident enough to walk in to her boyfriend wearing nothing but lingerie and stilettos

So if it was her that's what I'd buy her

Is there anything your friend has said along these lines?

How did your friend lose the 100 lbs? walking? aerobics? It doesn't have to be like "walking shoes" or anything like that... but you could easily make a "gift basket of small items"... ie: Crystal Lite Canisters, chapstick (since the winter's coming along), moisturizer, pack of socks, etc. Just fancy it up a bit with cellophane, a large bow, some shredded colored paper... and tah dah... cheap, but meaningful/ useful gift.

I can't think of a 100 themed gift, but assume she would appreciate a gift certificate to a spa or salon. A reward so such hard work.

thats a great idea Mal! Maybe it would be easier to find somethign like that online or on ebay (as opposed to going store to store) But its a Great idea :)

Maybe a magazine subscription to a healthy magazine or a nalgene bottle with a gift certificate to a sports superstore?

Or maybe a low cal recipe book? Wonder if she has steamer or crock pot, something to help make healthy meals quick & easy?

Good luck & I have to say its a great idea to have a party to celebrate this achievement.

Good morning,

Find out what her hobbies are...and get her a gift certificate to places that cater to it. Karate stores are a great idea... :)
