For the past 2 months I’ve been doing cardio (primarily cycling) 7 days a week and strength training 2 days a week. Along with that I’ve been eating 2 cups rice, 4 cups broccoli and 8 oz chicken with room for snacks(rice cakes + cantaloupe). Despite my efforts I’ve seen no results. Any tips? Or things I’m doing wrong?

That sounds horrible and not particularly healthy. Did you lose no weight at all? Or just less than you´d expected? How much did you snack?
Pretty much none at all. I eat about 6 snacks. I’m not hungry of anything so not eating a lot doesn’t make me feel any different

your definitely not eating enough! You need more nutrition and more calories
How much should I be eating then? My BMR is about 2600 so I figured I’d eat 1000 cals less than that. The chicken, rice and broccoli comes to about 800 so I thought I’d leave room for snacks coming to about 1400 cals daily.

If you do indeed eat 1400 kcal a day that's not as bad as it looked. How much did you lose? (And did you weigh under the same circumstances each time? Not trying to call you untrustworthy, just trying to exclude possible sources of confusion. )

Yeah fs at least most days it’s 1400. 4ish lbs I always weight in first thing in the morning at around 7 am

4 pounds normally wouldn't be bad for 2 months but for the first two it's not a lot, especially if you keep a deficit of 1000 kcal/day. Even assuming that your exercise burnsvery few calories at 1400 kcal/day you should be losing weight. No binges?

Losing only 4 lbs in 2 months with a 1000 calorie/day deficit seems unlikely - are you drinking anything that has calories (alcohol, soda, juices)? In those 2 months have you built new muscles (which weigh a lot more per calorie than fat)?

Not likely at such low calories although water weight in your muscles due to increased exercise could be a thing. But if you started working out at the same intensity you're at now I'd've expected your weight to have gone up at first, then down slowly and a bigger drop around now.

My exercise burns roughly 500. There’s been days where I don’t eat the chicken and rice but definitely not binges

Only water, I aim for 96 oz/day

Wago, Sounds like your just simply not getting enough nutrition based on what you said about what you've been eating, you also are not eating enough. What about your water intake? what do you eat for breakfast? Does your cardio only consist of running. I have been working with some women that had similar issues and lack of nutrients and type of exercise was their biggest problem. Cardio and minimal strength training only goes so far.

I agree that you're not getting enough nutrition but not eating enough doesn't stop someone from losing weight: it "just" makes them regain weight more quickly when they try to move to maintenance.

Yes, you are right in some cases, everyone is different. My response is based on the information she provided about her habits and currently NOT losing any weight. That would indicate her body is on a plateau.

Well... yes? Not losing weight is kind of the definition of a plateau? But you don't plateau due to lack of iron, zink, or even my beloved protein unless those deficiencies make you crave and eat higher calorie food than you were planning. So I don't really get your point unless you're working your way toward recommending some kind of product/diet system (which, by the way, would be against this forum's rules, even if you did it in DMs). We're trying to figure out why they might be plateauing.

If your burning 500 cals a day in exercise, but only consuming 1400 cals, your actually only bringing in 900 cals a day then.

Just curious, how would not eating enough lead to no weight loss? I’ve always thought it was the opposite
