How many push ups/sit ups should i do per day and when in the day? thanks~

Well, your still a young guy. While you have time make sure you eat right. Check out info here for help on that. As far as bulking goes you would need to eat a surplus of calories and impose enough demand (resistance) on your body that it must grow. I would highly recommend finding a chinup bar nearby and perhaps a dip bar.

Pushups, this will not cause your body to get bigger (at least not much), they are good for strength. Try some of these:
- staggered hand pushup
- clapping pushup
- one leg (off the floor) pushup
- handstand pushups (be careful with this one)

Hopefully, that helped a little. Also, just get involved with a school sport.

I agree with the surplus of calories and resistance training. Those are keys to growth. You'll have trouble getting the proper resistance to spur your muscles to grow without access to some equipment. Pushups and situps will only get you so far, but they're way better than nothing.

Does your school have a weight room? If not, and you have a bit of space and money check in the local classified ads or on and you might be able to pick up some used stuff relatively cheaply. You can even look for ways to use household items for resistance, but do so with care. Don't want to get hurt.

I have a set of dumbbells in my basement from 2-50 pounds, along with a full olympic weight set, but I'm probably atypical in that regard. To get the best workout possible you need a fairly decent variety.

The easy answer is the biggest variety of weights you can afford and have a place for in your home. Doing leg, chest, and back exercises will require more weight than doing arm or shoulder exercises. It also depends on how strong you are. You'll want weights that allow you to approach muscle fatigue somewhere in the 8-15 rep range.

If you just want to get one single set of dumbbells to start with, I'd say that given you're 110 pounds you should start with 15 pounds. But that's just a wild guess, since I don't know anything about your fitness level and strength.
