Hello everyone! I'm Stephanie and I am new here to the threads. i'm 27 years old and I have been on my diet and weight loss journey since January of 2007. When I started I was at a high of 255lbs. I decided I was fed up with being fat that's were the journey began. At first I just started to eat more healthfully. I cut out a lot of sweets and junk food and I ate more fruit's, veggies and lean meats such as chicken breasts, fish, and lean beef. And I tried to go easy on processed foods. Then I incorporated hour long walks. During the first year I lost 70 lbs. During the second year I joined a gym and started running on the treadmill and using the elliptical trainer and gradually lost about another 30lbs. In total I lost about 100lbs in the course of a year and a half...
So now basically for the past 2 1/2 years my weight has been yoyoing up and down.... The most I gained back was 30lbs! As of now I'm 179lbs. It's a struggle for be to keep the weight off because all I do is eat! My biggest weakness is sweets, anything from cookies, cakes, pies, candy especially chocolate. I also find that I eat a lot out of boredom. At meal times I tend to always overeat and go back for seconds. My goal is to get down to 150lbs and stay there. I also have binges where I eat and I really feel like i can't stop! If anyone has any helpful tips on how to end this bad yoyo dieting cycle of mine please help.
