Need Help With Supplements!!!!

Hi! I'm 20 years old from Puerto Rico, I'm 5'10 and 147 pounds. I started going to the gym 3 months ago and had seen some results my body change a bit and lost 7 pounds, I tried a whey protein shake but didn't see any changes and the flavor was really bad. Some people had said to me that aminoacids are good and L carnitine works great for cutting fatty acids.

So do I start taking:
- L-Carnitine
- Amino Acids
- Muscle Milks Light R2D(Ready to drinks packs)

If so how much do I need? And excuse me if my writing is bad...

Don't throw away your money on supplements. Lift heavy and eat a balanced diet with adequate amounts of protein. Supplements won't give you a great body, only hard work and a good diet will.

You tried A protein shake? As in one? No matter what you do, you're not going to see any immediate results. It takes time.

Whey protein is actually considered to be the best supplement out there for overall muscle training. If you don't like the flavour, get one that tastes better. Or better yet, get plain whey and just mix it with your own drinks.

While red meat IS a great source of protein, you shouldn't be eating full meals of red meat more than once or twice per week. Any more than that, and you'll be stuck on the can quite frequently. As someone above said, you should get your whole food sources of protein from a variety of meats.

Thanks a lot! Very helpful the link that you gave me. And yes 1 protein shake try but the flavor was nasty but I empty the bucket because already had pay for the hole package... And what about the amino acids and the L Carnitine are they good? Do you recommend them?

the definition of supplement is.. to aid.. or help with something.. so taking protein supplements is to help you get more protein in your diet.. the only supplements i take are protein.. (optimum nutrition).. and pre workout powder (jack3d, n.o. explode) that's all you will ever need.. they wont get you muscle.. they will just help a little more.. lift big and eat big.. only then will you be big!

Thanks! My biggest problem is on the stomach, Because of that is why I'm asking for the L Carnitine because I have done a lot of research and most of the information saids that L Carnitine would help loose fat... what do you think of that?
